The Westminster Burying Ground is in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the resting place of Edgar Allan Poe. His apartment is also nearby. I took these pictures when I worked at a summer camp in Maryland in 1990, so they are dated! I was with a friend, but since I don't have her permission, I've erased her from one of the pictures. I also erased myself from one of them. I was young and skinny and hate to scare people with my early 90's look :-)
I scanned these from some 35mm shots I had in a photo album. I know I've got more somewhere, but can't find them now. I had a pic of Poe's grave, but it's nowhere to be found.
The cemetery itself is really cool. And the church has catacombs that can be toured on certain days! The downside, as I recall, is that the church is in a not-so-nice part of town. Baltimore is one of those cities where you can walk just a few blocks and go from safe to scary.
